Wellness Diary is a new innovative mobile service which helps you to improve your wellbeing.
Wellbeing is all about balancing daily behaviour; the way we eat, exercise, sleep etc. Wellness Diary helps you to set targets, monitor your daily behavior, learn from it and make changes.
Monitoring progress is easy with automatic functions and reminders, and you can see your progress instantly via graphs. In the near future you can also share it with your friends via social networks.http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/wellness-diary
The main features of Read This! can be triggered by voice now. For example: if you want to trigger the OCR for the current camera picture, simply speak out loud “Recognize”: Read This! will then automatically start the character recognition, and – if you have set the preferences – also speak the text out loud.
Further steps to take are:
Because we are approaching the end of the course, we will now focus on the documentation: e.g. finish screenshots and videos, prepare and hold presentation.
After recognizing text in an image, Read This! can now speak the text out loud for the user. This will be helpful to users who have problems to read the text on their own. The user can adapt the speed and heights of the voice to his personal preferences in the settings.
The usability of the OCR has been improved: text now also gets recognized when it is not very clear on the camera image, but there is still some space for further improvements. The usability of multitouch for zooming also has been improved: now the user can now zoom on a certain point on the display, and he can only change the zoom factor within useful borders. All the calculations are now done via matrix multiplying for performance reasons.
And another cool feature has been implemented: the backlight of the phone can now be activated and deactivated by the user, to provide a better readable text.
